Superior Crane Corp. is a full-service design, engineering and manufacturing firm specializing in overhead material handling equipment and machining. Looking for 1st and 2nd shift (6am 2:30pm & 2pm 10pm) starting wage $18 - $25
Primary responsibilities:
Flux core welding of steel plate (1/4 or above) and structural shapes. Must be able to weld in all positions.
Must be able to read welding samples and fabrication drawings.
Must be able to assemble structural metal products using hand tools, overhead cranes and verify dimensional tolerances.
Additional responsibilities:
Ensure working environment stays clean and safe
Good Problem solving skills
Complete quality control forms
Verify specifications
Follow proper procedures for set up and maintenance of equipment
Observe necessary safety precautions for welding, cutting and grinding of metal parts
Other duties as directed
Able to set up own equipment and able to follow welding procedures
Must be able to do own set ups and follow welding procedures
Must be able to pass .045 flux core, all positions weld test
3+ years of experience in welding/ fabrication
3 + years experience with open table fit up
Experience reading diagrams/prints, must be able to fabricate per print
High school diploma or equivalent required or higher
Demonstrate strong math skills, ability to calculate fractions and decimals.
Must pass pre-employment weld test
Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills.
Welding certification, preferred not required
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
Ability to lift up to 50 - 75 pounds repetitively and frequently without assistance or equipment at heights above or below shoulder heights
Ability to perform tasks involving constant periods of standing and or kneeling
Constant hand/eye coordination along with balance
Frequent stooping and/or bending
Must be Able to work overtime when required
Able to climb ladders and work above ground (not afraid of heights).
